Fine lines and wrinkles, also known as rhytids, are caused by our normal facial expressions.
For mild-moderate superficial wrinkles, neuromodulators are an excellent choice. Neuromodulators block the signals from nerves that cause muscles to contract, thereby relaxing facial muscles and resulting in the smoothing out of wrinkles.
For more severe, deep wrinkles, neuromodulators may not be enough. This is where laser resurfacing can be an excellent option. Lasers emit beams of light that penetrate deep into the skin layers to stimulate collagen, elastin, and other skin supporting molecules, reducing wrinkles at their source.
